On the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, we want to bring together all Christians, Protestants and Catholics, in honor of Jesus’ prayer expressed in John 17.

Almost 500 years ago, Martin Luther posted 95 statements of concern about some of the practices of the Catholic Church resulting in the Reformation.  Historically, this was one of the largest splits in the Christian Church that resulted in the separation of Protestant Christians and Roman Catholic Christians.

On the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, we want to bring together all Christians, Protestants and Catholics, in honor of Jesus’ prayer expressed in John 17. A unified event of this scope has never happened in Kalamazoo.

The Purpose of Kalamazoo United is to bring together the Christians in Kalamazoo who declare Jesus is the head of the church (Ephesians 4:4-6), believe that salvation is found through faith in him alone (Ephesians 2:8-9), and desire to see Jesus’ prayer that his followers would be one (John 17) more fully realized in Kalamazoo.

*Participation in this event does not mean agreement on every doctrinal issue or stance on social issues.  We do agree on lifting up the name of Jesus and stating our faith using the Nicene Creed.
